People living in and around Wallaceburg have a chance to meet the people running to represent them on Chatham-Kent's (CK) next municipal council.
A meet-and-greet has been scheduled for July 27 at Glasstown Brewing Co. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The first half of the event will be a traditional meet-up, with the public able to speak directly with each candidate. The second half will be a moderated Q&A focusing on pressing issues in the area.
As of July 7, seven people have put their names forward. They are Brendan Authier, Loree Bailey, Steven Burritt, Jason Debuck, David Hyatt, Zac Nicholson, and Chris Young.
Each candidate has been invited, with six already confirming they'll be attending.
The Wallaceburg area will have two new faces on the next council as current Councillors Aaron Hall and Carmen McGregor have announced that they won't be seeking re-election.
