The Baptiste Creek bridge between Dashwheel Road and Montpetit Road in Tilbury East will be closed from May 14 until further notice. There are currently no plans to reopen this bridge.
Municipal officials said the Mint Line over Baptiste Creek bridge was previously closed. It was temporarily fortified and reopened with a six-tonne weight restriction to provide light vehicle access to the west while the bridge on Mint Line at Montpetit Road (King & Whittle Drain) was closed for replacement. The new bridge on Mint Line at Montpetit Road is now open and provides full load access east up to the closed Baptiste Creek bridge.

Rose Beach Line over South Marsh Creek is closed because of erosion from Lake Erie along the edge of the road. It’s unknown how long the closure will last. Since Rose Beach Line will no longer be available as a route between Morpeth and Rondeau, the alternative route is Talbot Trail and Kent Bridge Road.
