Minto set to host Community Clothing Swap

The Town of Minto's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is getting set to host a Community Clothing Swap next month.

This event will be held on Saturday, November 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palmerston Community Centre. It is free to attend and is a chance for residents to clean out their closets, refresh their wardrobes, and reduce waste.

Attendees are encouraged to bring clean, gently used cold-weather clothing such as jackets, snow gear, boots, and everyday wear. However, there’s no requirement to donate to participate, as everyone is welcome to take what they need.

Donations for the event ahead of time will be accepted from November 2-7 at the Service Ontario in Harriston, the Youth Wellness Hub in Palmerston, or at the Palmerston Community Centre between 4–6 p.m. on November 6 or between 8–10 a.m. on November 7.

"Events like this are about more than clothing—they’re about community," said Alicia Becker, DEI Committee Member. "We want to support one another, reduce waste, and ensure everyone has what they need to head into the season warm and confident."
