Daylight saving time will soon be over for another year.
Chatham-Kent residents will have to set their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday.
The switch back to standard time won't be the standard across Ontario. Recently, it was announced that parts of the province, mostly areas close to the Manitoba border, will move to permanent daylight saving time as of November 1.
This means Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba will be an hour ahead of the rest of the province and neighbouring provinces until the time changes again in the spring.
In 2020, Ontario passed a law to make daylight saving time permanent across the entire province, but that's been put on hold in an effort to stay aligned with Quebec and New York.
Fire departments are reminding people to check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as they wind back their clocks.
