Woman Arrested for Robbery

Chatham-Kent police have charged a 28-year-old woman from Harwich Township for allegedly stealing some items at a retail store in Blenheim and pushing an employee to the ground.

Police are reporting the female suspect went to the store on Communication Road in Blenheim, allegedly hid items on her person, and attempted to leave without paying for the merchandise.

Police also said a worker received a minor injury when the suspect was confronted by the employee. The employee fell to the ground when the suspect pushed past the worker, according to investigators.

They said the suspect left before officers arrived, but was found a short distance away.

Police noted the suspect was also wanted on a warrant related to a theft investigation in Chatham last month.

The woman faces several charges, including robbery, two counts of failing to comply with a court order, three counts of theft, and four counts of possession of stolen property.

Man Arrested for Threats

A 60-year-old Chatham Township man has turned himself in at Chatham-Kent police headquarters after allegedly violating his bail conditions and threatening his neighbour.

Police said the man was wanted on a warrant in regard to a bail violation and a neighbour dispute this month.

He is facing charges of breaching recognizance and uttering threats.

Woman Arrested for Failing to Comply

Allegations of mischief and failing to comply with her bail conditions has landed a 42-year-old Chatham-Kent woman behind bars again.

Police in Chatham-Kent said they responded to a home on Hughes Street in Dresden to investigate a bail violation and arrested the woman.

The woman was arrested on Monday and was released with conditions prohibiting her from attending the residence, according to police.

Man Arrested for Criminal Harassment

A 45-year-old Chatham man facing criminal harassment charges has surrendered to Chatham-Kent police.

Police said the man was wanted on a warrant in relation to a June 27, 2024 harassment investigation in Chatham.
