Stolen Vehicle Found on Fire

A stolen vehicle was recently found on fire in Chatham.

On Tuesday, Chatham-Kent Police received a report of a vehicle on fire around Sass Road.

There, they found a Dodge Ram 1500 parked on train tracks. It was later determined the vehicle had been stolen and was used in a theft that happened at Walmart earlier in the day.

Video surveillance helped officers identify the 48-year-old man using the truck and arrested him for theft at a home he was known to frequent.

He was transported to police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.

Vehicles Stolen from Storage Facility

An e-bike and model motorcycle has been stolen from a Chatham-Kent storage facility.

At around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, CK Police received a call about a break and enter on Grand Avenue East.

After getting the victim's address, they spoke with and determined the two vehicles were stolen.
