Maroons extend winning streak with win over LaSalle

The Chatham Maroons made easy work of the LaSalle Vipers for their fourth straight win.

The two teams faced off in LaSalle on Wednesday, with the Maroons winning 5-1.

It was leading scorer Trevor Zanutto who opened the scoring in the first period for the Maroons. His 21st goal of the season was assisted by Ian Lachance and Carter Kucher.

Brody Najim extended the lead later in the period with his fourth goal. Getting the assists were Kaden Sienko and Aidan Edwards.

It took less than a minute into the second period for the Maroons to score again. Getting his 16th of the season was Carter Chadwick, with Alexander Lisi and Lachance getting the assists.

Ewan McChesney added his 12th of the season for the Maroons later in the period. Aydan Doyle and Jaxon Priddle with the assists.

Both teams would score in the third period, with the Maroons' goal being scored by McChesney. His second goal of the game was assisted by Chadwick and Lachance.

Making 35 saves for the win was Samuel DiBlasi.

The Maroons' next game is on Friday on the road against the St. Marys Lincolns. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
