Grade 8 students in Chatham-Kent can get a closer look at their options for secondary school over the next few weeks.
Several local schools will host open houses for prospective students.
Ursuline College Chatham will open its doors on Thursday, January 29, at 7 p.m. Current staff and students will lead tours of the school and facilities.
The open house at Lambton-Kent Composite School in Dresden had to be rescheduled because of bad weather earlier this month. It will also take place on Thursday, January 29, at 6 p.m.
Bad weather also postponed the open house at Wallaceburg District Secondary School to Wednesday, February 4. It starts at 6 p.m. and is open to all Grade 6, 7, and 8 students and their families.
Chatham-Kent Secondary School's open house is set for Wednesday, February 4 at 6:30 p.m. Grade 8 students and their parents can tour the school, meet the staff, and learn more about the programs offered.
The open house at John McGregor Secondary School in Chatham will host an open house on Thursday, February 5. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. with a presentation and tour starting at 6:30.
Ridgetown District High School's open house was scheduled for January 15, but was postponed because of the weather. It's been rescheduled for Thursday, February 5, at 6 p.m. It's open to students entering Grades 7 and 9 next year.
The open houses at Blenheim District High School and Tilbury District High School took place earlier this month.
