A 42-year-old man has been charged after allegedly trying to break into his neighbour's home with a machete.
Shortly after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Chatham-Kent (CK) police were called to Canal Street West in Tilbury for an ongoing dispute between neighbours.
When officers arrived, they were told that a drunk man wielding a machete had damaged a door while trying to get inside. The man reportedly also made several threats during the incident.
Police arrested the man and charged him with breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and mischief.
He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing.
