An evacuation took place at 99 McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham on Thursday afternoon due to a fire.
It's the same housing complex that was the site of an arson in August 2024 that displaced approximately 100 residents for several months.
First responders, including the Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS), Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS), were all on scene. Buses were also available to keep residents warm and transport them to shelter.
Police blocked off a section of McNaughton Avenue West in front of the building during the evacuation.
The cause of the fire hasn't yet been determined.
It's also unknown if there were any injuries.
