Provincial police say the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 401 in Tilbury have reopened after a series of crashes.
The eastbound lanes were closed at Queen's Line since Wednesday evening, and were reopened at around 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Elgin OPP also shut down the westbound lanes of the 401 at Orford Rd. near Highgate. Police reported that those lanes had reopened shortly before 8 p.m.
Police continue to urge people to stay off the roadways if possible.
