Thanksgiving closures across CK

Thanksgiving weekend has come around again and with that comes closures.

Municipal offices and most services will be closed on Monday, October 14 in recognition of the holiday. This includes Employment and Social Services, Fleet Services, and Housing Services.

The Homeless Response Line (519-354-6628) will be staffed for emergencies and those affected by the fire at 99 McNaughton West can contact their case manager.

Police, Fire, and Ambulance Services are available by calling 911.

The Provincial Offences Court will also be closed on Monday, but residents can pay any fines online.

CK Public Health will be shut during the holiday. Many services offered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance's (CKHA) Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be altered on Monday.

Patients with scheduled diagnostic tests are advised to attend their appointments as those departments will be staffed accordingly. Hemodialysis Care will be open, as will the Emergency Departments at both hospitals.

All arenas, pools, libraries, theatres, galleries, and museums will be closed.

Leaf and Yard Depots and Transfer Stations won't be running on Monday. Garbage and recycling pickup will be delayed by one day.

No Ride CK Transit services will be operational on Thanksgiving.
