Terry Fox Run flag to fly Monday

Organizers of Chatham-Kent's 44th Terry Fox Run will raise the flag early this year.

The flag will be raised at the Civic Centre on Monday, almost a week before the annual event. CK Mayor Darrin Canniff and representatives of the Terry Fox Run will hold a brief ceremony at noon that day, ahead of the flag raising.

The annual run will take place on Sunday, September 15.

Everyone is encouraged to take part in the nationwide tradition, which makes a difference in the lives of countless Canadians and contributes to cancer research every year.
