Chatham murder victim remembered as loving, caring mother

A Milton woman whose body was found in Chatham earlier this month as part of a murder investigation is being remembered as loving, caring, and generous.

Louise Thomson's obituary says the 27-year-old was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, but settled in Milton, Ontario with her family at the age of eight.

Thomson reportedly suffered from mental health issues in the last few years of her life, but her family said they don't want to let her struggles define her life. She is being remembered as a high school wrestling champion, a volunteer, and a loving mother and daughter.

"She loved her children and her large family above all things," her obituary reads.

A memorial visitation for Thomson was held earlier this month, followed by a private funeral.

The family was asking for donations to be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Halton Down Syndrome Foundation in her name.

Chatham-Kent police have arrested three people in connection to Thomson's death and the investigation is ongoing.
