The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is looking for volunteers to fill vacant positions on the Together CK Grant Program Review Committee.
The committee is responsible for going through grant applications. Funds are allocated each year to the Together CK Grant Program to support community events or the completion of projects. After reviewing applications, the committee is responsible for making recipient recommendations to council.
The committee is made up of five municipal staff members and eight volunteers.
Applicants should have strong communication and organizational skills. Volunteers should also be active within the municipality and informed about the non-profit sector.
“We’re looking for an individual with a broad base of experience since the committee will be dealing the applications for funding from a wide variety of areas,” said Manager of Corporate Initiatives Amy Wilcox.
Successful applicants for the volunteer positions will remain on the committee for the duration of the council term. Volunteers will be required to dedicate a minimum of 12 hours, starting in the new year, to attend meetings.
