Strong winds cause damage in Wheatley

At least one barn was severely damaged in Wheatley because of strong winds.

That's according to the Northern Tornadoes Project (NTP), which is sending a survey team to the area on Monday to properly investigate.

Environment Canada reported heavy winds and strong gusts across Chatham-Kent on Sunday. In some places, the wind reached 30 km/h, while some gusts were recorded as high as 48 km/h.

Ontario Storm Reports claimed several hydro poles were also knocked down in the storm; however, there are currently no power outages in the Wheatley area.
