Chatham-Kent (CK) Public Health is warning the public about a second business that hasn't been properly disinfecting its equipment.
Anyone who underwent a procedure at MicroFleek on Queen Street in Chatham between December 1, 2024, and March 6, 2026, is advised to speak with a family doctor or walk-in clinic.
"Insufficient infection control procedures may increase the risk of transmitting blood-borne infections, such as HIV or Hepatitis, as well as bacterial or fungal infections of the skin or nails," CK Public Health said in a statement.
CK Public Health didn't say how they became aware of the issue.
CK News Today also reached out to MicroFleek, but didn't receive a response.
This announcement comes nearly one month after a similar alert was issued about the Chatham Skin Clinic.
CK Public Health explained that there was a lengthy lapse in sterilizing and reprocessing medical equipment at the clinic. This is something staff at the clinic have disputed, instead claiming the issue was a lack of documentation and not sterilization.
