A local advocate for cancer care will now bring his expertise to the Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) Foundation.
Jeff Casey, the event director for Play For a Cure, has been named the foundation's new manager of special events.
He will continue his work with Play For a Cure, which holds fundraising events for local cancer research, and for supporting the technology that will be utilized at the future Fancsy Family Hospital.
"Joining Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation lets me bring my passion for advancing cancer research to a team that is actively shaping the future of healthcare in our community," said Casey. "This is a huge opportunity for Play For A Cure and our community of supporters to build upon what we’ve accomplished, grow it, and be part of making sure cancer patients and their families have the best possible experience at the new hospital."
Fundraising events such as the Play For A Cure Pro-Am and Battle of the Badges will continue. The initiative has raised over $3-million for local cancer research since 2018.
