Teen seriously injured after being hit by vehicle

A 14-year-old boy is in a local hospital after Windsor police say he was hit by a vehicle.

It happened at around 3 p.m. on Monday on Dominion Boulevard and Norfolk Street. When officers arrived, they learned that the teen was riding a scooter when he was struck by the vehicle.

The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver remained on scene. Police did not say if the driver would be ticketed.

Dominion Boulevard was closed between McKay Avenue and Norfolk Street for three hours to allow police to complete their investigation. It has since reopened.
