Suspects, vehicle wanted in attempted Windsor break-and-enter

Windsor police say two people used a vehicle to try to break their way into a business early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the business on Walker Road near Foster Avenue at around 2 a.m., on a report of an attempted break-and-enter.

Camera footage showed a minivan being used to crash into the front of the business. At one point, two people got out of the minivan, then got back in and continued to ram the building. Eventually, the pair gave up and drove off.

The building suffered extensive damage.

The vehicle is described as an older-model Chrysler minivan, silver or grey, with a red driver’s side door and sunroof. It may also have rear-end damage.

Residents and business owners in the area are asked to check any security or dashcam footage from early Saturday morning and call police if they see anything unusual.

Anyone with information should call the Windsor police's Target Base Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4350, or Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
