One of Windsor-Essex's largest annual fundraisers is gearing up for its 2024 edition.
Caesars Windsor announced on Tuesday morning that the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation (WCCF) will be the beneficiary of the latest Concerts For a Cure campaign.
A portion of the proceeds from Colosseum shows in October and November will go to the WCCF.
"On behalf of cancer patients in our community, we are so grateful for the support of Caesars Windsor Cares and the Concerts for a Cure campaign," said WCCF Executive Director Houida Kassem. "Because of partners like Caesars Windsor Cares, cancer patients in our community will continue to receive world-class care close to home."
Caesars Windsor President Kevin Laforet said the concert series has impacted cancer treatment options in the region since its inception.
"Concerts for a Cure is an initiative that gives us the unique opportunity to collaborate with our concertgoers to raise funds and awareness for an area of need," said Laforet. "We are proud to continue our legacy of giving back, and through our partnership with Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation, we can make meaningful contributions in the fight against cancer in our community."
The concerts included in the campaign for this year are Carly Pearce on October 3, Nikki Glaser on October 4, Jesse McCartney on October 11, and Burton Cummings on October 18.
Also part of this year's lineup are Sawyer Brown with Shenandoah on November 1, Chicago on November 9, Derek Hough's all-ages show on November 10, Scotty McCreery on November 21, and Marianas Trench's all-ages appearance on November 29.
Since Concerts For a Cure began in 2013, it's raised over $200,000 for worthy causes in Windsor-Essex.
