Conduct hearing set for Windsor lawyer

A Windsor lawyer is due to face the Law Society of Ontario (LSO) Tribunal for a conduct hearing next month.

The tribunal's hearing division has issued a notice of application for conduct, with Gerald Koski listed as the respondent. Koski, who was called to the bar in 1973, had been working with the law firm of Bondy Riley Koski in Windsor.

According to the notice obtained by BlackburnNewsWindsor.com, a hearing has been set to determine if Koski had engaged in professional misconduct and/or conduct unbecoming a licensee. Few details have been released, but the notice has accused Koski of "failing to provide a prompt and complete response to communications from the Law Society's investigator between May 2019 and January 2020."

Koski graduated from the University of Windsor in 1968, and the U of W Law School in 1971. His legal areas of expertise include commercial law, corporate law, real estate, and estate planning.

Blackburn News has reached out to the LSO for additional information on the investigation that led to the notice. Spokesperson Jennifer Wing said Wednesday morning that additional details may be released before the hearing.

The hearing is set for April 17, at a time to be considered. The hearing will be held at the LSO Tribunal's offices in Toronto.
