Two long-serving Sarnia Legionnaires have been named to the team's leadership group for the upcoming season.

Ben Schoch and Jon Sanderson will co-captain the Legionnaires for 2019-2020 campaign, the club announced Friday.

The 6'7, 240 lbs defenceman has 67 points in 162 games with Sarnia, he was an alternate captain with the club last season, and he took home the Legionnaires Best Defenceman and Scholastic Player of the Year awards.

Sanderson, 20, is entering his third full season with Sarnia.

The forward and native of Clyde Township, Michigan has 82 points in 89 games with Sarnia, he was also an alternate captain with the club last season, and is the most recent recipient of the team's Spirit Award.

The Legionnaires finished fourth in the GOJHL's Western Conference last season and lost in the first round of the postseason to LaSalle in four games.
