The New Democrats have selected their candidate for the Sarnia-Lambton riding ahead of the upcoming provincial election.
Community advocate and children services worker Dylan Stelpstra will have his name on the ballot.
In a news release from the NDP, Stelpstra said he's ready and excited to work hard for the people of Sarnia-Lambton.
"People in our riding have been through a lot over the past few years, and they deserve a government that will help our community bounce back stronger than ever," said Stelpstra. "That means investing in the things that matter most to our community, like our local schools, fixing seniors care and making life more affordable. As a children services worker, I’m committed to making sure we have strong social services that families can rely on. With Andrea Horwath and the NDP, we can start investing in people and make Sarnia-Lambton an even better place to raise a family."
Stelpstra will go up against incumbent PC Bob Bailey and the New Blue Party's Keith Benn.
The Liberals and Green Party have yet to declare candidates.
Voters will head to the polls on June 2.
