The Breast Cancer Society of Sarnia-Lambton hosts its annual Mother's Day Walk Sunday. Volunteer Paddy Roach says registration starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Seaway Kiwanis pavilion in Canatara Park, with the walk getting underway at 11 a.m. "We've been having the Mother's Day Walks for 27 years now and many people continue to come back every year," said Roach. "This year we expect to bring in about $12,000." Roach said the event raises around $400,000 nation-wide each year for breast cancer research. The society says one in eight women in Canada will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
