After hiring former OHL goalie Mark Packwood as the team's athletic therapist in July, the Sarnia Sting have already made a personnel change.
The team says recent scheduling conflicts has forced Packwood to part ways with the club. The conflict is due to his part-time commitment with a clinic in London while he completes his second Masters degree at Western University.
As a result, the Sting have hired Amy Mausser to fill the role.
Mausser was with the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Brooks Bandits the last two seasons, serving as the team's athletic therapist, equipment manager and strength & conditioning coach. She was previously the athletic therapist and head trainer with the Kingston Frontenacs.
She has a long list of academic accolades, including a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences from Sheridan College in Athletic Therapy, a Massage Therapy Certificate from the College of Health and Technology and a Masters of Exercise Science at the University of Connecticut. She is currently working on her Masters of Exercise Science (Human Movement) through A.T. Still University.
