A crossing guard struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning in Sarnia has been released from hospital. Sarnia police say an 81-year-old man entered a pedestrian crosswalk on his way to his post around 8:30am, when he was struck by a car turning north onto Murphy Rd. from Rosedale Ave. The pedestrian was taken to Bluewater Health for observation and released. Police say the driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man, has been charged with failing to yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian.
