Sarnia councillors were told Tuesday the cost of the Integrity Commissioner's work to date adds up to $62,000. Councillor David Boushy asked for an accounting in advance of council's special meeting to consider Robert Swayze's report that found Mayor Mike Bradley to be in contravention of the rules of conduct. The commissioner has an annual retainer of $3,000 and is paid $280-an-hour for services rendered, not including expenses. The city has paid Swayze $20,000 so far and has yet to be invoiced for 133.9 hours for April 1 to June 24, which adds up to another $42,000.
