A prime piece of land at the foot of Exmouth has been cleared for sale, now that Point Edward's committee of adjustment has approved a severance application from Steeves and Rozema. Company CEO John Scotland says the 26 acres is zoned residential. "I think it's in the interest of the community to see those lands developed," he says. "If we can bring in another party to that, that would work in everyone's best interest." Another 26 acres that comprise the Holiday Inn Golf Course will continue to be leased to the hotel while a small piece of land that had been leased to Bridgeview Marina at the south basin for boat slips is in the process of being sold to Marina owners.
