A missing Petrolia woman was found early this morning, five hours after she was reported missing. The 39-year-old has pre-existing medical conditions and when she didn't return home at around five yesterday afternoon, OPP were called to her Robert St. home. Their canine unit, members of the West Region Emergency Response Team, Eniskillen Fire Department and hundreds of community volunteers initiated a search. At around 12:30 this morning, Sharon Silk was discovered, safe and sound, near a creek bed in the town of Petrolia. Lambton County EMS examined her, as she had been exposed to the elements for several hours, but she was ok. OPP are thanking the volunteers and professionals who helped return the woman to her home, built by Habitat for Humanity with the assistance of Lambton County Developmental Services.
