Construction is moving along right on schedule at the Blue Water Bridge. The original span, built in 1937, was closed at the end of March for resurfacing and waterproof undercoating. Michigan Department of Transportation spokesperson Diane Cross says so far, they have not run into any major problems. [audio mp3="http://blackburnnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/diane-cross-1.mp3"][/audio] Cross says other than during the Victoria Day and Memorial Day long weekends, there hasn't been an large increase in wait times for traffic at the international crossing.
