Man arrested for assault

Chatham-Kent police responded to an address on Michener Road early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the home for a domestic dispute and determined that a male resident had attacked a woman.

A 22-year-old man was arrested and taken to police headquarters.

He was later released with a June 3 court date.

Damage done to Chatham business during b-and-e

Police continue to investigate a break in at a business in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent police responded to a break and enter at an Irwin Street business on Friday morning.

"Sometime overnight unknown person(s) entered the building and caused damage to plumbing and took several power tools from inside," police said. Currently, officers have no suspects.

Man arrested for violating Liquor Licence Act

A 55-year-old man was held at police headquarters until he sobered up.

On Friday night, a police officer on patrol in Chatham came across the man near Gilmore Avenue.

According to police, the officer determined that the man was intoxicated and unable to take care of himself. The man was arrested and taken to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters.

Wanted man arrested in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent police arrested a man wanted for failing to attend court.

Police said that an officer went to a Mountford Crescent address in Blenheim Friday night and located the accused.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was later released from police custody with a new court date.
