Stratford police say the driver involved in a fatal collision in August will face criminal charges.
On August 16, 2026, an 86-year-old pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck in the parking lot of the Stratford Mall. The man later died in hospital of his injuries.
Earlier this month, the driver of the truck, a 38-year-old St. Catharines resident, turned himself over to police and was arrested.
He now faces charges for dangerous driving causing death.
The man was released from custody on an undertaking with a court date next month.
