Community Foundation Grey Bruce (CFGB) will hold a special event next month to officially launch its Vital Signs Publication.
According to Community Foundation Grey Bruce, the Vital Signs Publication is a "comprehensive community check-up" that provides information on a number of key quality of life factors in the region. It also highlights priorities for the future.
The report will be officially launched at a public event on June 17, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound. Community members, partners, and stakeholders are invited to attend to learn more about the report.
CFGB states that the report measures things like community well-being, identifies trends in the region, and encourages action on things that matter most to residents, which is covered in the report.
The 2026 edition focuses on six key areas shaping life in Grey Bruce:
-Community and belonging
-Living standards
-Housing
-Health and wellness
-Recreation and learning
-Environment and climate
Findings from the report will inform CFGB's granting decisions, ensuring investments "align with the region’s most pressing needs and support the work of local agencies and community partners," according to a media release from CFGB.
The 2026 Vital Signs report will be available for free download on the Foundation’s website following the launch event: https://communityfoundationgreybruce.com/impact/vitalsigns.
"Vital Signs uses community data to paint a clear picture of well-being across Grey Bruce," said Stuart Reid, Executive Director of Community Foundation Grey Bruce. "It is designed not only to inform, but to inspire meaningful dialogue and action as we work together to build a stronger, more vibrant community."
