The Elmira Sugar Kings couldn't finish off London, losing 6-4 last night in Game 4 of the Sutherland Cup final. The Sugar Kings still lead the series 3-1.
Max Vinogradov and Brandon Glover each scored twice for the Nationals. Brenden Trottier scored and had two assists in the win.
Ethan Skinner led the Sugar Kings with a goal and an assist.
Jonathan Reinhart stopped 27 shots before being pulled with just over a minute left in the game to give the Sugar Kings an extra attacker.
Camerson Zanussi made 35 saves.
Max Vinogradov scored just over a minute into the game to give the Nationals a 1-0 lead heading into the second. Tyler McBay briefly tied the game with a power play goal at 8:04 of the second but Vinogradov struck again to put London ahead going into the third.
Brandon Glover scored back-to-back goals starting with his first just 17 seconds into the third period. He scored gain on the power play at 4:31. Ethan Skinner answered for Elmira, unassisted midway through the period and Jake Brown put the Sugar Kings within a point just over three minutes later. Austin Kemp scored what would stand as the game winner at 17:49 of the final frame. Klayton Hoelscher put Elmira within a point with an extra attacker on the ice at 19:14. Brenden Trottier scored on an empty Sugar Kings net with just ten seconds remaining to give the Nationals insurance.
Game 5 is Friday night in London starting at 7:30 p.m.
