Lightning Fall In Game 7

The Halifax Hurricanes are the champions of the National Basketball League of Canada.

The Hurricanes beat the London Lightning 125-117 in the seventh and deciding game of the final series on Monday night. It was a hard fought win for the Hurricanes, who had taken a 3 games to 1 lead in the series, before losing games 5 and 6 to a Lightning team that seemed bent on overcoming tough odds to win a third NBLC title.

Halifax was led by finals MVP Justin Johnson, who had 41 points.

Garrett Williamson and Stephen Maxwell each had 25 points for London.

The Hurricanes are the first team from the Atlantic Division to win the NBLC title.
