New pediatrician excited to be in CK

Chatham-Kent has a new pediatrician.

Doctor Namrata Todurkar has moved from Alberta to Chatham to provide pediatric services for the Chatham-Kent community and the Women and Children’s department at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA).

CKHA said Doctor Todurkar brings a wealth of expertise to the clinical team, further enhancing the specialized care available to residents across the region.

Most recently, she worked as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Associate Physician with Alberta Health Services.

Dr. Todurkar has a Medical Doctorate in Pediatrics, a fellowship in Neonatology, a fellowship in Nenonatal-Perinatal Medicine, a Bachelor of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Surgery.

She said she's excited to relocate her young family to Chatham.

“I am incredibly honored to join the Women and Children’s department here at CKHA,” said Dr. Todurkar. “My goal is to uphold our department’s stellar reputation by delivering care that is as deeply human as it is scientifically rigorous."

Dr. Todurkar is now accepting new patients at her office at 100 King Street in downtown Chatham.

"What truly defines my practice is my lived experience. Having sat on the other side of the isolette during my daughter’s NICU stay and navigating a high-risk pregnancy with my son, I don't just treat infants, I support families," she noted. "My approach is family-guided and grounded in health equity, ensuring every parent, regardless of their background, feels heard and empowered.”
