Local artists wanted for CK Queer Portraits art exhibit

An art exhibit, hosted by Thames Art Gallery, is highlighting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

The community-focused exhibit, Queer Portraits, will feature art that celebrates, reflects on, or explores connections to Chatham-Kent's (CK) 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Thames Art Gallery is now accepting entries. Art submitted must show a meaningful connection to the community of CK, be made from the perspective of, or in allyship with, the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, as well as portray a specific person or their defining characteristics.

All entries will be reviewed by a jury and evaluated based on the above criteria.

Submissions can be made until 4 p.m. on May 29. Up to two pieces of art will be accepted, with a variety of media encouraged.

Entries can be submitted online.
