Chatham-Kent's (CK) largest job fair will return next week.
The job fair concludes the municipality's annual Workforce Week, aimed at empowering employers and job seekers in CK.
According to the municipality, Workforce Week will feature in-person and virtual events to provide resources for residents trying to find jobs, summer student jobs, apprenticeships, or those starting a new career.
The job fair will be held on March 4 at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The municipality noted the job fair is the largest of its kind in Chatham-Kent, with over 80 employers on-site and 1,400 people in attendance last year.
Matt Keech, CK Program Manager for Employment and Social Service, said job seekers will have the opportunity to discover exciting job, education and training, and volunteer opportunities.
“The Workforce Week Job Fair is the perfect place to connect with employers and take the next step in your career,” said Keech. “We’re thrilled to be able to host Chatham-Kent’s largest annual job fair and provide this opportunity within the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.”
The Skills Ontario Trades and Tech Truck will also be on hand, featuring hands-on activities and simulators for youth aged 12 and older to explore skilled trades and emerging technologies.
The University of Windsor and Lambton College will also be promoting post-secondary education and training pathways.
A live demonstration stage will highlight various trades, technologies, and innovative skills, the municipality added.
