Family Day closures across CK

There are activities scheduled across Chatham-Kent for Family Day, at public libraries and local museums, but there will also be closures.

Municipal offices and most services will be closed on Monday, February 16, in recognition of the holiday.

Employment and Social Services, Housing Services, Fleet Services, and Public Works will be shut down. Emergency Services, including police, fire, and ambulance, are available 24 hours per day, though administration offices will be closed.

The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit (CKPHU) will be closed, with the acceptance of well water samples paused as of Friday afternoon. Normal office hours will resume on Tuesday, February 17.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance's (CKHA) Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will both have altered services in recognition of the Family Day holiday.

Some outpatient diagnostic tests will take place on Monday. Those with scheduled appointments are urged to attend them, as those departments will be staffed to meet those needs.

Hemodialysis Care will be open, as will the emergency departments at both hospitals.

All other services and departments will be closed on Family Day.

Waste Depots and Leaf and Yard Depots will be closed on Monday, and curbside collection will be delayed by one day.

RIDE CK transit services will not be operating on Family Day, so public transit users will need to find another way to get around.

All CK arenas will be open on Monday, as will municipal pools and the Thames Art Gallery.
