A 35-year-old man has been arrested after police allege he assaulted a minor.
Police also claim the man ran from the scene of the assault over the weekend.
Chatham-Kent police were called to a home on Forest Street, in Chatham at about 11 p.m. on Sunday for a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they determined that a verbal argument between the man and a youth had escalated and turned violent. The fight resulted in multiple physical attacks on the victim, police said.
The suspect wasn't arrested at the time, as he'd left before police arrived, so a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Just before 11 p.m. on Monday, officers found the man on Curran Crescent in Chatham and arrested him.
He faces two counts of assault causing bodily harm.
The man has since been released from police custody with a future court date.
