Two doctors join CKHA team

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has announced the addition of two new doctors, who both offer the full scope of general surgery services.

"We are delighted to welcome Dr. Albacete and Dr. Bui to CKHA," said Dr. Zeke Milkovic, Chief of Staff. "We are confident that both physicians will have a positive impact on the health and well-being of patients across Chatham-Kent."

Dr. Samantha Albacete brings extensive training and award-winning clinical expertise to the community. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Dalhousie University and her Doctor of Medicine at McMaster University. She then went on to complete a five-year General Surgery Residency at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.

She has earned both the Canadian Association of General Surgery Excellence in Resident Teaching Award and the R.E. Fraser Award for Excellence in Teaching and Mentorship.

"Dr. Albacete's strong academic and surgical training make her an excellent addition to our surgical team," stated Milkovic. He added that in addition to her general surgical practice, Dr. Albacete will also support CKHA's breast cancer program.

Dr. Albacete shared that she's excited to return to her Ontario roots and make a home in Chatham-Kent.

"I look forward to offering a full range of general surgery services to serve our community," she said.

Milkovic explained that Dr. Eileen Bui has already made a positive impression at CKHA through locum work.

Dr. Bui completed her Bachelor of Science at McGill University and her Doctor of Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She completed an internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Queens and graduated from the General Surgery Residency at the University of Tennessee in Nashville.

In 2024, Dr. Bui returned to her Canadian roots, attending the Advanced GI Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship program at McMaster University.

"I am excited to open my practice here in Chatham," said Dr. Bui, who has previously done temporary work in area hospitals.

"It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to provide care here, and I look forward to continuing to serve and be a part of this wonderful community," she added.

Both doctors are currently accepting referrals.
