Emergency responders pull woman from vehicle in Thames River

No one was hurt after a vehicle drove into the Thames River in Chatham.

At around 9:30 p.m. on December 26, emergency services were called to the boat launch near Kingsway Drive.

First responders were able to get the driver, a 48-year-old woman, out of the partially submerged vehicle.

It was later pulled out of the river by a towing company.

Chatham-Kent (CK) police say the driver accidentally drove down the boat launch, causing her to get stuck in the river. She's since been charged with careless driving.
