CK man arrested for allegedly threatening family

A 54-year-old man has been charged after allegedly threatening members of his family with a crowbar.

Shortly before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Chatham-Kent (CK) police were called to a home on Antrim Road, south of Morpeth.

When officers arrived, they were told that the man had been consuming alcohol and started threatening different people, all while holding a crowbar.

Police later found the accused in his vehicle in Blenheim.

He was arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and failing or refusing to comply with a demand.

The man has since been released from police custody with a future court date.
