Holiday closures across CK

As 2025 comes to a close, there will be some closures across the municipality.

Municipal offices and most services will be closed at noon on December 24 and 31, and closed the entirety of December 25, 26, and January 1 in recognition of the Christmas Holiday and New Year’s Day.

Service Ontario and the provincial offences court will have the same hours as municipal offices.

Entegrus will be shut from December 24 to December 26, as well as on December 31 and January.

Chatham-Kent Public Health offices will close at noon on Christmas Eve and reopen on December 27. They will also close at noon on New Year's Eve, reopening on January 2.

Some services offered at CKHA's Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be altered over the holiday season. 

Patients with scheduled diagnostic tests are advised to attend their appointments, as the necessary departments will staffed and available.

The Musculoskeletal Rapid Assessment Clinic at the Chatham Site will be closed from Christmas Eve through New Year's Day, reopening on January 2.

Outpatient Rehabilitation Services will be unavailable from December 25 to January 1, 2026, and the Pulmonary Function Lab will also be closed during this time.

Hemodialysis Care will be closed on December 25 and January 1. The department will be open on Sunday, December 28 in lieu of the closures throughout the week, to accommodate patient needs. 

Emergency Departments at both sites will remain open 24 hours a day.

All other CKHA departments will only be closed on December 25, 26 and January 1.

Waste depots will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day. While curbside pickup will be delayed by one day, for those scheduled for collection on December 25 and 26 or January 1 and 2.

Those who use Ride CK Transit services will need to find a different way to get around on December 25, 26, and January 1.

The Chatham-Kent Museum and Thames Art Gallery are closed December 24 to December 26, and again on December 31 and January 1.
