Disturbance
A 40-year-old man from Tilbury has been charged after allegedly disturbing a Chatham business.
At around 8 a.m. on Thursday, Chatham-Kent (CK) police sent officers to a business on Third Street after receiving multiple calls about a man.
Police say the man was caught trespassing but left the area. He reportedly returned multiple times over a 12-hour period, causing ongoing disruptions.
Officers later found the man, arrested him, and charged him with causing a disturbance.
He's since been released from police custody with a future court date.
Damaging Business
CK police have charged a 27-year-old man after he allegedly caused damage to a Chatham business.
According to police, a man had broken the business's window. Before fleeing, he reportedly started yelling and making threats.
Officers found the man near the business and arrested him after he allegedly admitted to causing the damage.
He's since been charged with mischief under $5,000.
The man has been released from police custody with a future court date.
Wanted Man
A 29-year-old man suspected of stealing from several vehicles across Chatham-Kent has been arrested.
At around 5:10 p.m. on Thursday, CK police were told that a man who was believed to have robbed a business on Park Street in Chatham was spotted.
While investigating, police determined that the man had a warrant for his arrest for allegedly stealing items from vehicles.
The man was confronted by police but provided a fake ID.
He was arrested and charged with having false identity documents, possession of property obtained by crime, and obstruction of a police officer.
He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing.
