Maroons headed to Top Prospects Game

Four players from the Western Conference leading Chatham Maroons have been selected to play in the GOHL Top Prospects Game next month.

Forwards Alexander Lisi, Gensen Geldart, and Brody Najim will suit up for Team Scheifele on Tuesday, January 13 at 7 p.m. in Peterborough.

Maroons head coach Brennan Feasey has been named an assistant coach for the team, along with trainer Eric Harvey.

Defenceman Kaden Sienko will play for Team Thornton. He'll be joined by forward Parker Graham, who's from Chatham but plays for the Komoka Kings.

The preliminary showcase is a part of the OHL's Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game, and will take place at the Miskin Law Community Complex.

The teams are named in honour of highly accomplished GOHL alumni Joe Thornton, who played for the St. Thomas Stars, and Mark Scheifele, who played for the Kitchener Dutchmen. Both went on to play in the OHL before before making their marks in the NHL.

The Chatham Maroons are back in action on Sunday, December 14 when they host the LaSalle Vipers at Chatham Memorial Arena at 7 p.m.
