Wallaceburg Impaired Crash

A woman from Wallaceburg has been charged with multiple offences after a crash in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent police alleged a driver involved in the collision at Main Street and Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg on Tuesday evening fled, and the vehicle was later found at a home on University Drive in Wallaceburg.

Police alleged they found the 46-year-old woman from Wallaceburg standing next to the damaged vehicle with open containers of alcohol inside, adding she refused to identify herself, didn't comply with police directions, and was showing signs of impairment.

She was charged with failure to stop after an accident, obstructing police, impaired operation of a vehicle, mischief, refusing a breath test, and driving with no insurance.

Wallaceburg Break-and-Enter

A break-and-enter charge has been laid against a Chatham man following a break-in in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent police alleged a 38-year-old man from Chatham broke into a home on Murray Street in Wallaceburg on Tuesday night.
