The St. Clair Catholic District School Board (SCCDSB) did not have to look far to find its next Superintendent of Education.
The board announced on Thursday evening that Jen Morrow will step into the role made vacant when Lisa Demers was named Director of Education last month.
"Catholic education has been my life’s work, and I am deeply passionate about ensuring that every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential," said Morrow. "I look forward to continuing to work alongside our incredible staff, students, and families to foster inclusive, faith-filled learning environments where we all can thrive."
Morrow was most recently the board's System Principal of Special Education. With over 20 years as a Catholic educator, she has worked as an elementary school principal, a vice principal, and a system program resource consultant.
Morrow has helped implement programs such as Project Search, which helps students with special needs transition into competitive employment.
"Jen has made a lasting impact on our schools through her deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success," said Demers. "She is a collaborative leader who always puts students first, and we are thrilled to see her step into this role where she will continue to inspire and support staff, students, and families across our system."
Morrow's first day in her new position will be April 1.
