The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a 61-year-old man believed to be responsible for the death of a Leamington woman.
On Wednesday, members of the Essex County OPP were called to a home on Sherk Street to do a well-being check on 83-year-old Anita Goodings. Instead, they found her dead and determined her death to be a homicide.
Officers charged 61-year-old Kevin Goodings with second degree murder. The OPP did not specify if and how the two may be related.
An arrest warrant was issued for Goodings on Saturday with OPP finding and arresting him on Sunday.
